Born and raised in Adams Run, South Carolina, Jerome “Chuck” Simmons grew up surrounded by the rich culture, traditions, and unforgettable flavors of the Lowcountry.
His love for cooking began years ago and developed into a passion for the culinary arts. Inspired by his Southern upbringing and connection to Gullah Geechee heritage, Chuck founded Sea Island Geechee Kitchen LLC to share the flavors and traditions that mean so much to him.
For Chuck, cooking is more than preparing a meal. It’s about bringing people together, honoring his roots, and sharing a taste of home.
